Steel tables

The program provides you with a wide set of reference tables for steel shapes, steels and combinations shape-steel. Table of shapes contains geometric properties of steel shapes included in the steel tables. Table of steels contains stength parameters of steel depending on its thickness. Table of shape-steel combinations presents information about possible cobminations of shape-steel.

Analysis of steel elements

The program enables you to select and check sections (33 types) of steel structures. SNIP II.23- 81* and Eurocode 3 are supported. You could analyse rolled and built-up sections, including  welded, laced and battened sections. After analysis you will obtain demand-to-capacity ratio of the section, lacing and battening according to ultimate and serviceability limit states. For analysis according to Eurocode, the tracing routine is available.

Joints of steel structures

The program enables you to design and check joints of steel structures. The available joints include the following: joints of trusses with sections from two angles, hinged and rigid bases of columns from I-sections, beam-to-column connections, flanged splices of beams. For the specified type of joint, sections of adjoining elements and forces, the following parameters of joints are computed: dimensions of rib sections, throat and length of welds, diameter and numbers of bolts, etc. The joint is designed automatically and then may be presented to scale. Specification is also available.

Principal and equivalent stresses in steel structures

The program enables you to determine principal stresses s1, s2, s3 by the specified stress tensor as: {sx, sy, sz, txy, txz, tyz}.

Effective lengths of steel structure elements

The program enables you to determine effective lengths of the following elements of steel structures:
  • single column with uniform section;
  • elements of uniform sections with rotation stiffness at its ends;
  • elements of uniform section in single and multistorey frames;
  • intersecting elements of uniform sections;
  • continuous elements (of upper chord of truss and crane column);
  • elements of space trusses;
  • lower part of columns with variable cross sections; SNIP II.23- 81* is supported.

    Parametric jonts of steel structures

    The program is intended to select and check parameters of joints of steel structures according to specified prototypes. SNIP II.23- 81* is supported. The library contains 24 prototypes of joints: beam-to-column connections, column bases, brace connection joints, etc. For the specified prototype, sections of adjoining elements and forces in them, parameters of joints are computed. The tracing routine is available for computation procedure.

    Analysis of welds

    The program is intended to select and check fillet welds in elements of steel structures for the following types of joints: lap joint and tee-butt joint. Classes and grades of steel as well as welding consumables conform with the specified groups of structures, service conditions, etc.
